Our work is a beatiful experience, because
it's important to use the computer in our days. We have a search
of plants of our city. The prof. Graziano Scotto di Clemente takes
some photos of plants or searches some pictures in old books. We
have operated with computer and we learned to use some programs.
It's a very important experience. Thank you virtual classroom. FEDERICO
The virtual classroom is a link with two
countries: Colorado and Japan. This work is important also to know
characteristic ambient and cultural or manner of speaking to think.
The three classes have worked in the same way. GERMANA
I thought that it was cool to design a web page
with people around my age. I think that the internet has come a
long way since its beginning, and having 3 classes across the world
come together on computers and designing a web page, taking pieces
of each culture and the personalities of us kids, is a giant leap
into the future of the internet. by CHARLIE, U.S.A.
I think it was a cool experience working with
Italy and Japan, because we learned about them and their cultures.
It is also a once in a life time experience to work with two different
countries at the same time. So I will really miss working on the
web page, and I will really miss seeing the art work, and the web
page we all made together, as a team. by Regina, U.S.A.
I think three classes around the world designing
a web page is a wonderful experience. Not only do we learn more
about technology but also about different cultures and habitats.
We have accomplished a lot, on the computer and in our minds. by
Samantha, U.S.A.
I think that the Virtual Classroom program is
a wonderful way to learn about other cultures and the differences
between our countries. The individuality of every class we've worked
with has been an experience I am sure none of us will ever forget.
Thank you Virtual Classroom! by Alyssa, U.S.A.
I think and learned that the internet is a good
thing to have. The Japanese and Italian classes helped us learn more
about what is in their countries. I also learned to have patients
because of all the writing and drawing we did. I think this web page
is really cool and also helps us learn a lot of different things like
what things are like in other places, not just the U.S.A.! by Nicole,
U.S.A.
I think that it was fun because we got to see different
things from Italy and Japan. I think it was a good thing to do, because
we got to draw things and talk about them, like food, plants, animals,
trees, and other things. It was neat how we put our ideas all on the
internet for everyone to see. It was also very exciting! by Brittany,

I'm writing in reply to your question
about the experience, if I have seen some changes in my students
or not. The project is helping them revise and practice English
in a new and useful way.
They are testing it is difficult to communicate
in a foreign language what they want so they now are much more motivate
in studying English.
As teacher I agree with this innovative way
of learning and improving writing skills as well as foensing the
items, enriching vocabulary, revising grammar etc ...
From the cultural point of vue I have been a
bit sceptical in using computer as aid in education, but at the
moment I have changed my opinion: it increases motivation in learning.
To be in touch with teenagers living in another different country
gives the students the awareness to live in a global village.
To finish I appreciate:
- the development of autonomy and cooperation;
- the opportunity to across the curriculum;
- the opportunity to develop an appreciation
of sensitivity towards the environment;
- the opportunity to work in group as well
as individually;
- the opportunity to share, disclose, focus
individual skills.
One of the problems with these projects is that
our students don't use fluent English for specific purposes, for
that it is difficult to personalize their works.
